My big fat greek wedding movie

This movie show how a greek family which is very traditional that expect that Toula get married with a geek guy and a pure greek family. But these plans are ruined when Toula meets Ian, a guy who is not a greek guy.

Toula decided to have a secret relationship with Ian because og her family and their traditions. And it was secret until they were caught and Toula's family were ordering her to end their relationship, but against them Toula and Ian continued seeing each other.

Finally, Ian propose her and obviously she accepts, but her father was furious because Ian wasn't greek, and it was against his traditions. Wedding's day was happy even though Ian's family were not familiar to be with many people.

I liked this movie because for me the main teaching of this is that we have to fight for obtain what they want, and work hard.

Graffiti

According to the Oxford's Dictionary graffiti is "writing or drawing scribbled, scratched or sprayed illicitly on a wall or other surface in a public place". According to Encyclopedia Brittannica graffiti is " form of visual communication, usually illegal, involving the unauthorized marking of public space by an individual or group". Most of time is used to express thoughts, disagreements, opinions about something, This is a kind of pacific protest in many cases. The majority of graffiteros don´t use a original name, they use a nickname. These nicknames will identify them on the rest of their drawings as a signature.

In my opinion Graffiti is a way that a group of society have to express themselves felling free, like an art expression, is a wake-up call for citizens to see whats happening, that other people feel the same as you, i think they want that other also can feel identificated with them. There are some groups that are focus in political issues like "Marcha Patriotica" and there are others that are focus in love and poetry like " Acción Poética", so there are groups for all likes. If you want to know more about this topic, down here are the pages that i read before do this post.

Violence against afro colombian

In Colombia the Afrodescendents represent 10% of the Colombian population, these people have been fighting for their rights, but unfortunetly this request hasn't been listened even thought the goverment say that exist some politics which protect the rights of these people. They are subjugated such as a verbal  violence as phisical and the State doesn't do anything.

A Catastrophe in Egypt
One of the most important countries in Africa was in the public eye, Egypt, because of a multiple protest started in some cities of the country. These protests were started by a group of people who were unhappy with the government of Hosni Mubarak.
They organized a reunion to require the resignation of the president, but unfortunately considering the lack of democracy the government sent the police to control the situation. That confrontation left hundreds of dead people and a lot of more injured.
Hosni Mubarak was president of Egypt since October 14th of 1981; he governed almost thirty years, until February 11th of 2011; when he resigned as a president for all those protests. In June 2nd of 2012 he was sentenced to life imprisonment. Now I hope the next government will be better than the last one.
